If work is your first space, and home is your second – welcome to The Third. That’s how The Third Space describes its leisure and fitness operations in Soho and Marylebone. But a fitness club is dependent on state-of-the-art equipment and specialised personal training facilities to pull in the clientele – especially in a competitive environment like London.

Johnson Reed were duly enlisted to provide Gym Equipment leasing finance over a three-year term for refreshing the fitness equipment at their established site in Soho, as well as a range of new equipment for their brand new site in Marylebone. Michelle Marinos, Finance Controller at The Third Space, was pleased with the service we provided:

In both cases the arrangements were approved really quickly. It’s proved to be very tax-efficient but, most importantly, we committed to a wide range of equipment from numerous suppliers. They were delighted because we were able to pay them all promptly on delivery.

The Third Space describes itself as an alternative space dedicated to a new form of healthy hedonism – a unique concept in 21st century living. It spans 40,000sq ft over four floors, so there’s plenty of room for three expansive gymnasia, a 20m ozone-treated swimming pool, a 75sq m climbing wall, a padded martial arts dojo, a competition-sized boxing ring and a hypoxic chamber which simulates conditions at an altitude of over 8000ft. With that kind of technology, it’s no wonder that they need to keep their equipment up to date – and Johnson Reed is proud to have helped.
