They say that every cloud has a silver lining, but the effects that Hopkins Catering Equipment achieved with a refit of a fish and chip shop in Weston-super-Mare provided some dramatic back-lit effects in blue, with one of their latest energy-efficient counter frying ranges.

And the reason for the transformation? A devastating fire that completely destroyed the Atlantic Broadway fish and chip shop in the town. The owner took the opportunity to completely redesign the interior, calling upon Hopkins for help with the scheme to maximise the use of their stunning new equipment. The Hopkins high efficiency three-pan flat top frying range was chosen to provide significant energy savings. The curved and brushed stainless steel front panels, with an embossed swimming fish design and polished pillars with laser-cut detail, display the shop’s name which is back-lit for maximum effect.

Johnson Reed provided the chip shop finance, which enabled a quick and simple deal at a time when speed was of the essence for the re-build. The owner commented,

“The layout of the frying range made for a much quicker and easier service. Our efforts and investment are already paying off. We are continually increasing our customer base and turnover week-on-week and the comments from our longer-standing customers have been nothing but positive.”

A perfect example of Johnson Reed expertise and Hopkins technology working hand-in-hand to give yet another client an invaluable fresh start in business life.
