The UK’s largest exhibition for hospitality and foodservice, Hotelympia, will be held at London’s ExCel from 26th February to 1st March 2012, with the aim being “delivering innovation to your hospitality business.”

Steve Elliott, Managing Director of Serviceline and a previous Innovation Award finalist said:

The Hotelympia Innovation Awards shine a light on new ideas that really can change the way the industry works, all the while bringing another dimension to the industry’s leading catering exhibition. The award gave the company great recognition and a lot of attention.

Exclusive to Hotelympia, the Hot Talent Awards scheme will give young people, under 30 years of age who do more than expected in their job, the chance to have further mentoring. After answering a series of questions and providing a ‘talking head’ video, the winners will be chosen from 10 finalists and will be announced at Hotelympia on 27th February.

For attendees to the event, the competitions and awards can be used as a way of providing ideas that can be taken and utilised by businesses to enhance productivity and market-share.

Exhibitors of note who should be sought out at the event include the UK’s most revered restaurant manager Fred Sirieix and chef Giorgio Locatelli. In addition, Fay Maschler, the foremost restaurant critic, will give her opinion on her profession and will give an insight into how some restaurants manage to succeed while others fail. As usual, due to our experience in Restaurant Equipment Finance, we will also be at the exhibition.

An attraction that is bound to be popular on Wednesday and Thursday will be the announcement of winners of three championships, all of which focus on coffee and the different ways of serving coffee.

Meanwhile, fine dining restaurant La Parade de Chefs will have two kitchens in operation supplied by Electrolux and MKN. Stuart Long, UK sales and marketing director for MKN said:

Hotelympia is the UK’s largest exhibition for foodservice and hospitality. Caterers are able to see at first glance the latest developments in the industry. It’s a great platform to showcase what innovative products are available.
