Community creatives of Battersea embrace JR’s quirky finance. In the shadow of the towering chimneys of Battersea Power Station lies the historic Battersea Arts Centre, a place with a radical history, inclusive spaces where communities, artists and audiences can creatively connect.
A space which holds the world’s first Relaxed Venue. Aiming to embed inclusivity, accessibility and inspiration in all activities and performances. A relaxed attitude to movement and noise and a designated space to chill for audiences with sensitive senses, Battersea Arts Centre has a dedication to breaking down barriers to engagement.
What’s more, Battersea Art Centre also incorporates a Pay What You Can basis for many shows. A unique approach which drives and develops young creatives of dance, music and drama and provides tailored ambitious support.
In order to generate regular funding for the community hub, Battersea Arts Centre is now hosting more commercial events; a wedding venue filled with creative flair, meeting rooms, conferences, rehearsal space and filming.
Rozzy from BAC reached out to our events and hospitality expert Ian, seeking specialist guidance on the finance options available to them. Ian visited the stunning labyrinth of spaces Battersea Art Centre has to offer, meeting Rozzy and Umut where he explained the benefits of our leasing options.
Rozzy and Umut were stunned by what our finance options allowed them to do. They just leased it. Keeping hold of their cash whilst accessing best production equipment out there, Battersea Arts Centre can continue to focus on driving creativity at an affordable rate for all.
Our events and catering cognoscenti Ian Gage loved his trip down, “The gothic architecture and acoustics the building creates blew me away, don’t think I’ve ever seen a venue quite like this”. Take a look at his wonderful pictures of the space below.
