Following the success of six stores across the North East, the one-stop takeaway Gills carried out a full refurbishment of the Ponteland store. A fresh new look for the north east’s favourite Chippy.
Gills have just recently announced the grand opening of the restaurant dine-in service at their latest store. The buzz of the news rippled through the town and diners could enjoy a restaurant experience whilst eating their favourite takeaway treats.
The fresh new look for Gills has transformed Merton Way, and with Gills running the shop for 13 years, Managing Director, Sonny Gill “felt it was important to give the shop a fresh look to step up like The Blackbird and The Diamond Inn have done and bearing in mind the new ventures in Ponteland”.
Serving the North East since 1977, Gills menus offers freshly caught fish and chunky chips as well as chicken, pizza , burgers and kebabs meaning there’s no need compromise is needed for any family member on treat night.
Sonny has been with Johnson Reed for over 8 years and wouldn’t work with anyone else other than the Chippy and Fast Food Finance expert, Mark Johnson. Sonny has been able to “carry out this major refurbishment where every piece of equipment will be brand new – for example, a high-spec frying range has been shipped in from the Netherlands”.
Sonny secured the latest and best equipment, by just leasing it. Keeping his cash in the bank, it wasn’t a case of not having the funds available, it was more the benefits Gills would access by using JR’s fluid finance options.
