190 Degrees West is a good clue as to the geographical location of one of the many fish and chip shops for which we’ve provided our specialist lease financing. It’s the name of a chippie at Sennen in Cornwall, only a couple of miles from Land’s End. Hence the name of the shop.

Once again, Hopkins Catering Equipment were the heroes of the day, offering some of their leading catering equipment for the shop. They installed a traditional three-pan counter frying range, complete with a heated chip box, an ambient scrap and utensil box, and three heated curved glass displays. Hopkins also supplied a potato chipper and peeler, a fat filter and six-drawer fish fridge. Johnson Reed chipped in to the deal with a chip shop lease of £10,000 over 36 months.

We appreciate partnering with Hopkins for their high quality specialist products and expertise in the market. And they like our service too. They know that we have 15 years of experience in working with reseller-introduced business and our dedicated account managers will pull out all the stops to ensure speedy transactions – a much better alternative to traditional banks, plus the client enjoys great tax savings.

Owners Gemma Bolitho and Les Taskis tell us their shop is going extremely well. 190 Degrees West is known as the first and last fish and chip shop in Britain and is very popular with tourists. Being that close to the sea, you can guarantee that the fish will always be fresh and tasty for the hundreds of visitors coming to this popular area every day.
