Being confined by the restraints of a 9-5 job is never the ideal scenario if you have a young family, but an inevitable necessity for most. That said, there aren’t many professions that allow for enough time with little ones!

As young parents themselves, Lorna and Steven Hessey immersed themselves in a profession that is centred around and inspired by their own children. Founded in 2012, Bounce-A-Roo was initially formed as a bouncy castle rental service, and has grown rapidly to incorporate a diverse range of children’s party and entertainment services.

The entrepreneurial duo now offer 15 different bouncy castles, character appearances, face painting, animal hoppers, didi cars and much more. Designed for both indoor and outdoor set-up, their quality equipment and competitive pricing makes using Bounce-A-Roo a no-brainer for party-planning parents!

Lorna and Steven recently approached Johnson Reed to explore financing options for their latest venture; an indoor play premises. With nothing similar in Trowbridge or the smaller surrounding areas, Party and Play is already a popular facility, and will cater for children up to the age of nine.

Through a simple lease agreement, the play area was fully kitted out with the necessary soft play structures and features. Alongside the tax benefits, the fixed repayment structure helps the business meet that all-important point of ROI sooner than if they had purchased outright with capital. Win-win!

We feel incredibly lucky to have been assigned Paula during our contact with Johnson Reed. She was nothing but excellent throughout our experience. Immediately she made us feel welcomed; her friendly tone and enthusiasm made us feel like she really cared about our project. Her encouragement and support helped make our plans on paper grow into our real-life soft play centre that we have today. She is an absolute credit to the Johnson Reed team!
