Staying fit and healthy is a high priority for many of us, but we all know how tricky it can be to stick to a training regime – especially alongside the multitude of other life commitments we need to juggle!

Having accumulated 10 years’ experience in the fitness industry, personal trainer, Karla Peacock, set out to help clients achieve this balance, and started up her own training facility in Bolton. Just Fit opened at the beginning of May, and offers both personal training sessions and group options, for those wanting a big-impact workout on a smaller budget.

Massage and nutrition services are also offered as part of the comprehensive Just Fit fitness experience, and each personal training session is topped with a tailored and tasty shake to optimise workout results.

The premises has been kitted out with Fitness Systems equipment, including spin bikes, rowers, cable cross, kettlebells and treadmills. All equipment has been embossed with Just Fit’s vibrant yellow branding to remain consistent with the facility’s contemporary fit out. Although a little smaller than some of its competitors, Just Fit boasts an impressive array of state-of-the-art facilities, including male and female changing areas with showers, underfloor heating, hairdryers, illuminated mirrors and a sauna.

Ian Thorpe from Fitness Systems commented, “Working with Karla has been fantastic. She was extremely passionate to get Just Fit off the ground using a mix of refurbished equipment, new functional equipment and our Force Functional rig and storage. We were able to give Karla and her team what they needed to focus on their members and clients and still have room to comfortably workout and achieve those goals. Branding was important and the colour scheme of the equipment had to reflect this with embroidered logos and bespoke instruction charts. The whole of the room stands out, looks smart, strong and inviting. The club does the local area a lot of credit and it is always good for local businesses to be working together and supporting each other and the community.”

Having initially struggled to secure the necessary finance for the fitness equipment, Karla approached Johnson Reed to explore equipment leasing. All too often, banks and traditional lenders can be quick to neglect new-start businesses for funding, in fact, the British Business Bank estimates that banks reject around 100,000 small businesses each year.

Mark Johnson at Johnson Reed was quickly able to secure the necessary fitness equipment finance Karla needed using in-house funds. The application was turned around quickly with at the best possible rates to allow Karla to get her new-start venture up and running.

Karla commented, “Both Johnson Reed and Fitness Systems took a lot of weight off my shoulders throughout the start-up process. Just Fit is just as I’d dreamt it to be thanks to the equipment lease, which allowed me to purchase my desired equipment and fulfill my brief exactly without having to compromise on quality.”
