When you’re well-respected hair stylists, like Brian and Vicky Drumm, it’s important to keep your standards high. That’s why they turned to Johnson Reed when they recently refurbished their Scottish premises.

Brian Drumm Hairdressing opened its doors in 1970 and hasn’t looked back since. As an exclusive hair salon in Edinburgh’s George Street, they attract an extensive and varied clientele, including some famous names such as Princess Margaret, Shirley Bassey and members of Simple Minds.

As part of a new-look, they wanted a distinctive contemporary salon style for their remodeled interior, for which certain features were specifically designed. Part of the refurbishment included a new reception area for which we arranged salon lease finance for some key furniture.

This was a supplier-led introduction from Albert Ewan Design, a company we’ve worked with previously on various projects. For their part, they knew that, by dealing with Johnson Reed, they could secure the sale quickly and reduce their credit risk because their cash flow would be improved by our prompt payment on delivery of goods. As for Brian and Vicky, they were delighted to be able to prove to their customers that they are committed to improving their facilities. After all, when you’re in the cut and trim business, the last thing you want to do is cut corners or trim budgets when it comes to important new investments in your business.
