Clean Inc. are a Stockport-based, family-run dry cleaning business with an extensive and high-respected reputation across Stockport and Manchester.

With three members of the family still involved in the business, including the youngest, Lewis, pictured right, the business has been going strong but has reached the point where their continued plans for expansion require investment in new, modern equipment.

This was when they were introduced to Johnson Reed, via their accountants, Bennett Verby, another local business to us.

When we were introduced to Clean Inc., our Managing Director Mark Johnson met up with the family firm and got to know their business and finance requirements, and concluded that, in his own words, “helping the company is a no-brainer!”.

After we discussed exactly what they needed, we were able to secure £39,900 worth of finance for Clean Inc. to invest in a new state-of-the-art dry cleaner, pictured here with Lewis. The finance deal was set over a 3 year term, allowing the business to take full advantage of the inherent tax benefits, as well as spreading the cost over time, making the purchase much more affordable.

This finance agreement was what we call “common sense underwriting”, one of the hallmarks of a Johnson Reed finance agreement. Rather than seeking finance from our panel of lenders, we were able to use our own funds to ensure the company would get the finance they needed, with only a small deposit.

With their 4 locations already in south Manchester, and their new one opening in Stockport (where the new machine will be located), we are confident that Clean Inc. are going to go from strength to strength, and continue their expansion across the region, and are delighted to have been a part of it!
