Established fitness management company European Corporate Wellbeing (ECW) have been commissioned to develop, manage and operate a new state-of-the-art sports facility at Bournville College, in Longbridge. Under a joint venture arrangement ECW will extend these facilities to both students and private memberships.

Established in 2005, ECW is a specialist fitness management company providing health & wellbeing services to predominantly bluechip companies. ECW now holds management contracts to provide in-house leisure facilities for clients such as Proctor & Gamble (Germany), Bupa, Telefonica/O2, FSA & Bank of England (UK), and Johnson & Johnson (US).

ECW have developed the leisure centre as part of the £66m modern state-of-the-art new Bournville College campus. Open 24 hours to student members and private members, there will also be a sports hall available for classes up to 11pm, 7 days a week. Both Sport England and the UK Badminton School have committed to using these new facilities on a regular basis. Bournville College is a large general further education college with over 11,000 students, with the main campus located in Birmingham, with smaller campuses around 3 miles away.

The new College is now open and is one of Europe’s most modern further education facilities, with an investment of £66 million just part of a recent £1 billion regeneration project in South West Birmingham.

ECW are responsible for investment in the new fitness equipment and they have leased this asset over a 5 year term. We are delighted to have provided approx. £200,000 in finance for the new gym equipment. We have extensive experience providing gym equipment leasing throughout the UK, and we’re proud to include ECW and Bournville into our Portfolio.
